Electronic Recycling Day

Recycle your unwanted/outdated electronics responsibly! The City of Leawood’s Sustainability Advisory Board and Midwest Recycling Center will be offering contact-less drop off of items such as TVs, cellphones, gaming systems, home appliances and much more on Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 8AM - 12PM at Town Center Plaza. Recyclable items will be collected until 12PM UNLESS the MRC truck reaches full capacity at an earlier time.

A wide variety of electronics can be recycled for free. Some electronics have associated recycling fees. Please click here to view the list of recyclable items and any associated fees.

**FOR ITEMS WITH ASSOCIATED FEES: PAYMENTS ARE CASH OR CHECK ONLY. CHECKS CAN BE MADE OUT TO MRC RECYCLING.**

What to Expect: Friendly staff and volunteers will be ready to direct you through the event in an organized manner. MRC will have staff to unload your vehicle of your electronics for proper recycling, so there is usually no need to exit the vehicle. Simply tell the staff what you have to drop off and where it is located; pop the trunk open, if needed. The MRC staff will take care of the rest!

The event will take place in the north parking lot of Town Center Plaza. Please enter via 117 St. from Nall Ave. or Town Center Dr. from Roe Ave.
